Dr Kevin Wallbridge
I work primarily on issues in epistemology, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of mind. My PhD and several of my published papers aim to defend the controversial (read: highly unpopular!) sensitivity condition in epistemology.
I am currently a temporary lecturer at the University of Southampton, combining work on my particular research specialisms with time spent thinking about a wider range of philosophical issues.
From 2018-2019 I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Cyprus, working with Dr Christos Kyriacou, organising the Cyprus MetaEthics Workshop, and working on an edited volume on Skeptical Invariantism (to be published by Routledge).
I gained my PhD from the University of Edinburgh (supervised by Duncan Pritchard and Nick Treanor, and examined by Martin Smith and John Greco). You can read an abstract of my thesis, Counterfactual Epistemology: in defence of sensitivity, from the link on the left.
Before that I was at Fitzwilliam College Cambridge where I got my MPhil (with distinction), and the University of Warwick where I got my BA (a First).
Sometimes, I stop doing philosophy and enjoy doing other things like dancing (folk, swing, salsa, and anything else I can find), aerial sports, running...
